The second episode of Harvest, a series of events organized by IUNO, is dedicated to Allineamenti, the final chapter of Roberto Casti’s project started on the occasion of a workshop at Parco della Caffarella in Rome. In line with the artist’s research, which focuses on the unnoticed, the marginal and what we normally consider irrelevant, participants were invited to analyze and describe their surroundings from the recording and processing of data collected during their exploration. The aim of the workshop was a collective, shared, reconstruction of a landscape, forgoing conventional descriptions and disregarding sight. The material produced during the workshop gave form to a limited edition publication.

Exercise 1: trying writing about the environment you are in without necessarily describing it visually;

Exercise 2: try to translate the sounds you hear, their timing and position, through graphic signs, shapes and colors;

Exercise 3: divided in two groups, listen through a common recorder and try to record the environment.

The exhibition reunites all the materials created during the workshop (texts, drawings and recordings) and two new works by the artist: “Allineamenti (Parco della Caffarella, Roma)” and “ARIA (Composizione III)”
