“The Outsider (live)” is part of “The Outsider” series, project conceived by the artist as a reflection on the relationship between inside and outside.

“The Outsider (Live)” is a series of site-specific live performances in which Roberto Casti relate to the place where he is invited to play. He records the sounds of a certain neighborhood or area and then reproduces them live during the event, strictly indoors, combining them with an improvisation set (analog and digital) influenced by external noises and sounds. Every live is different, because not only the place but also the soundscape in which you are placed is different.

The work invites the audience to overturn and question the “outside” and “inside” rules, intended respectively as places of exclusion and inclusion, marginalization and independence. “The Outsider” is an attempt to blur these boundaries imagining a continuous exchange between them based on interdependence and alliance.
